Shat-R-Shield now offers a comprehensive package of lighting products for both existing and new markets with the addition of Ironclad™ 66 Series Fluorescent Vapor Tight Fixtures.
The rugged design of Shat-R-Shield’s Vapor Tight fixtures allows them to withstand extreme conditions such as moisture, dust, dirt and humidity that are present in many industrial applications. The impact resistant polycarbonate lens is secured to the housing with chemical resistant stainless steel latches and sealed with a permanently molded gasket to protect the lamps, ballast and other electronic components from moisture and dust.
What makes the Ironclad™ Vapor Tight fixtures stand apart from competitors is an impressive certification base. These fixtures are rated NEMA 4X, NEMA 5, IP-66, UL, cUL, NSF, USDA, and UL Wet Location approved. The fixtures have undergone intense testing and have proven their strength against the harshest environments, making them perfect for nearly any application.
Applications for the Ironclad™ Vapor Tight fixtures include industrial, cold storage, tunnels, bridges, subways, parking garages, food processing plants, loading docks, construction sites and waste water treatment plants.
Ironclad™ Vapor Tight fixtures have Dual Input High Power Factor (HPF) Ballast requiring 120V-277V and include a pull-in disconnect. They can be surface or ceiling mounted and easily installed.
While the fixtures do not include lamps, the use of Shat-R-Shield safety coated lamps is highly recommended to prevent the risk of broken glass during installation or replacement.
